Eyes with double eyeliners
Rock the nightclub with this kinky new trend - the double eyeliner. This is a quick look that you can put together when you're running low on time that gives you just a bit of colour in a very noticeable way. You apply your regular charcoal black eyeliner. Then on top of that eyeliner apply another liner maybe a dark blue or pretty much any colour depending on how much you want your eyes to pop. You could also apply this on eye shadow.

Dark coloured lips

This is a great way to instantly update your look and draw attention to those pouty lips. Dark maroons, deep mauves and earthy browns will be the desired lip shades in 2012. Pair the dark lip colour with clear eye lines for a look that is elegant and very retro. It's a great look to carry for an elegant dinner or chic soiree.

Veil makeup

This makeup trend uses no hard and defined lines - instead the contours are all blurred. With all traditional makeup rules lapsed, you go for completely new shapes and colour combinations. It is as if you submit a veil over you face - everything is full, sultry, sensual and feminine but not tight and loud. A great look for painting the town red!

Au naturel

Natural looking makeup will continue to be the most desired. Start off with a light foundation and stick as close to your natural base as possible. For the eye makeup, the colours you should choose are golds, browns or silvers depending on your complexion. Apply a light neutral tone all over the eyelid and use the darker shade to softly line the top lid and outline the crease. Blend in for a natural look. Nude lip colour applied with the finger with a light dollop of gloss completes the look.

Smokey eyes with brown eye shadow

Usually Smokey eye shadow conjures images of steel grey and black shades on the eyes. However in 2012 substitute the smokiness of grey with a very earthy mysterious dark brown. Apply the dark brown on the whole eyelid and also brush it on as a thin line under the eye. Use black eyeliner and mascara to finish the smokey eyes. Complement this look with nude or beige coloured lips.
